  • MAXIKRIL Quartz Grip is a rough basic primer based on synthetic binders in aqueous dispersion, enriched with quartz. It is ready for use and is used for priming internal and external surfaces. By applying MAXIKRIL Quartz Grip, it is possible to improve the bond in all mortars based on cement, plaster, lime, as well as concrete bases, bricks, concrete and gas-concrete blocks and the like. It is suitable for improving the adhesion of ceramic adhesives, floor and wall levelling material on non-absorbent surfaces like ceramic tiles, terrazzo and natural stone. Surfaces treated with MAXIKRIL Quartz Grip are uniform, equally absorbent and have reduced water absorption. The surfaces are significantly rougher, thus providing better adherence of the material to be applied on them.

  • Method of application

The surface must be: dry, wearable, clean and free from poorly bound parts, dust, water-soluble salts, grease, cement milk and other impurities. Old coats that are not well bound should be mechanically removed. MAXIKRIL Quartz Grip is ready for use, it only needs to be thoroughly mixed. Apply with a roller or brush in one layer.

    Durability and storage

The shelf life is 18 months from the date of production marked on the packaging. Store in original, well sealed and undamaged packaging, at a temperature +5 °C to +25 °C, protected from direct sunlight.

    Operating temperature

Optimum working temperature is from +10 °C to +30 °C. It should not be used below +5 °C, as well as in strong sun, wind, fog and rain. Freshly applied surfaces, under optimal conditions, should be protected from atmospheric influences for at least 24 hours.

    Consumption

200–300 g/m², depending on the roughness and absorption of base, the technique and the application method.
